WELCOME to the Byron Music Society Website
Byron Music Society brings fine music to the Byron Shire by staging a series of high quality classical music concerts each year. The Byron Shire is located in the beautiful Northern Rivers area of NSW, Australia.
The Society has a proud history, having celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2011. Its mission is to promote the study, performance, listening and enjoyment of group, solo, vocal and instrumental fine music for its members, and to present performances of this music to the public.
Byron Music Society concerts are usually held either in the Byron Bay Community Centre auditorium or in St Martin's Anglican Church in Mullumbimby. Both venues are pleasing, intimate performance spaces. Every seat is a good seat and the audience has the unique opportunity to enjoy the concerts in close proximity to the artists.
Byron Music Society is not for profit and without significant funding. Our concerts are financed by memberships and admissions, which we strive to keep affordable. The concerts are staged by a voluntary committee of eight. Read More
